Abstract

This survey aims to identify the behavioral purchase of young university students regarding the conscious purchase. For this purpose, it was undertaken a quantitative investigation, using the structured questionnaire. The collected data was treated by: descriptive statistics, difference between averages test and multiple correspondence analysis. The results pointed out that the genre is directly connected to the behavioral purchase intention of the participants. In this variable, there is a prevalence of women with a more sustainable profile, while the age isn't significantly related to any investigated variable. There was no binding highlighted between income and decisive social-environmental aspects to the purchase decision. Finally, the respondents` political orientation was associated with the variable, concerning the consumer's understanding about their own attitudes and individual perceptions. This study's findings contribute to improve the comprehension of factors that compose the young consumers` purchase intention, providing insights to the marketing professionals, in order to formulate more suitable commercial strategies to this segment.
