Abstract

Eudaimonic well-being is a concept that emphasizes ultimate fulfillment and flourishing in life. This study aims to map the body of literature on eudaimonic well-being. The research problem is stated as follows. How is the literature on eudaimonic well-being organized? A bibliometric study was carried out, analysing 64 scientific articles related to this topic in various fields of study. The data is organized using VOSviewer©, incorporating bibliometric principles such as Lotka's law to measure the productivity of authors who make a significant contribution to research, Zipf's law to measure the frequency and proportion of words in studies and Bradford's law to assess the productivity and relevance of scientific journals. This approach helps identify patterns, trends and gaps in the literature related to the influence of consumption on eudaimonic well-being, providing valuable insights for future research. This research offers a novel perspective on the relationship between consumption and consumers' social well-being by examining the role that eudaimonic well-being plays in the field of management. Furthermore, the study suggests a dialogue between well-being practices and management theories, arguing that more moral and well-being-focused market practices and business policies can help strike a balance between social demands and individual needs.
